Life Stories

Norma Jean, Betty, and Ronald are the closest cousins Gary & I had growing up. We spent a lot of time at Aunt Ophie & Uncle Doris' the few times my dad (Wallace Ervin Moore) drove our family to Indiana to visit Grandma & Grandpa Sparks. Norma Jean had already moved away when we visited, but I'm sure she gave us hugs when our mom (Martha Blanche Sparks) took us to stay with Grandma & Grandpa when we were toddlers while daddy was over seas in the Marine Corps. Norma Jean always kept in touch with my mom and sent me Christmas pictures & letters. She sent me a white Bible as a wedding present. She called to comfort me when my mom had a stroke and passed away. She shared stories of growing up with my mom and the birthday party my mom gave her. I always dreamed of spending more time in Indiana and getting to know my cousins. I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father who is there to welcome Norma Jean and the wrap His arms around her family & friends to comfort us. With love, Nancy Moore Wilson

Thank you for these memories Nancy; they are very special. I remember stories of Aunt Martha Blanche and knew of the California branch of the Sparks family. I wish we could meet!
