Sorry to here of Mike's passing. My sincere condolences to his family. I knew Mike when he was working at the Grocery store here in Watseka and he was a friend of my Brother Terry. I knew his Mother and his sister and ran into Mike a couple of times when he was running the Kroeger store in Kankakee area. To us who knew him we called him "Blue Boy" because of his color due to his health issue. Mike never took offense to us for calling him "Blue Boy" and I knew him worked in Champaign-Urbana lIllinois for a while, I just never ran into him, but always asked about him and Sandy when I saw his Mom and also told her to say "HI" from me and my family. Once again sorry for your loss and the knowledge that Mike had many friends here in Watseka who never forgot him. Thanks for posting his obit in the Kankakee, Illinois newspaper.

Life Stories

Michael and I met in June of 1972 and 3 short months later we were Mr. and Mrs. He is and always will be the love of my life. Together we had 3 beautiful children who have grown into amazing adults. Our 8 grandchildren have given us much happiness and he was so proud of his family. He so enjoyed spending time with his many wonderful friends. His annual fishing trip gave him great pleasure as did driving around in his 1965 Chevrolet. There are no words that can express how much I loved this man or how much I will miss him. We had 45 years together and I am so thankful and grateful for that. We'll meet again and I will walk the streets of heaven with him.
