James L. Anderson, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, James worked as an electrician with Fort Wayne State Development Center and previously for Boston University. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy. James was a member of the American Legion Post #330. Surviving are his children, Marie (Chuck Jennison) Cappa of Wichita, KS, Carol (Bud) Dobbs of Yoder, IN, Donna Shine of Pompano Beach, FL, Robin (Tony) Crespo of Winthrop, MA, Deborah Anderson of Fort Wayne, Lynn (Eric) Pepple of Fort Wayne, James (Betty) Anderson, Jr. of Clovis, NM, and Thomas Anderson of Fort Wayne; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Rose) Anderson of Kokomo, IN; and step-brother, James Ragan of Fort Wayne. James was preceded in death by wife, Alice Anderson; son, Joseph Anderson; parents, Frank and Marie Anderson; 1 sister and 2 brothers. Service is 10:00 am, Monday, January 8, 2018 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
