James M. Momper, 84, passed away Sunday, June 11th at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was a son of the late John George and Ruth (Kuyoth) Momper. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and Arizona State University. James worked for Saga Foods in California before moving back to Fort Wayne. He then retired from Burkhart Advertising. He was a Qtr Master 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy and Korean War Vet. He was an active member of the World Apostolate of Fatima, formerly known as the Blue Army. He loved golf, his garden and his family. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Emma (Broz); children, Anne Marie (Jerry) Bovie, and Anthony "Tony" Momper; grandchildren, Daniel and Abigail Bovie; brother, John (Delores) Momper; and sister, Phyllis Martin; and 11 nieces and nephews. Latin Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 AM on Friday, June 16, 2017 with calling 1 hour prior at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 4643 Gaywood Drive Fort Wayne, IN 46806. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN with calling hours 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM with Rosary at 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Masses in James Momper's name.
