Richard A. Hollinger, passed away on February 13, 2018. He was born on July 16, 1925, in Butler, IN, the son of the late Ross and Ethel (Krontz) Hollinger. Richard served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946 and served in the Navy Reserves from 1946 to 1959, and was a Naval Aviator. Richard worked as a production control manager at Magnavox for 43 years until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Shoaff Park Lions Club, a Boy Scout Leader, a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Magnavox Management Club past President, and School Board President in Illinois. He was an avid bridge and euchre player and enjoyed gardening and wood working. Surviving are his children, Donald (Kathy) Hollinger, LuAnn (Patrice) Kerevel; grandchildren, Angela (Steven) Newman, Renee (Chris) Scott, Yann (Mary Jo Bosanko) Kerevel, Abel (Sarah Burnett) Kerevel; great-grandchildren, Ruby Lucile Scott, Arlo George Scott, Henry Lee Newman, and Nora Kate Newman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lucile Hollinger; and siblings, Allen Hollinger, Lucile Nichols, and Edith Getts. A memorial service will take place at 1pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Towne House Retirement Community Chapel, 2209 St. Joe Center Rd., Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation will take place from 4-7pm, Monday, February 19, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Burial will take place in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Wayne Honor Flight or Shoaff Park Lion's Club.
